She was left heartbroken when she was eliminated from The X Factor USA last year but Sophie Tweed-Simmons looked as if she didn’t have a care in the world in Maui, Hawaii on Thursday. Pendant drop in liquid paint.
The aspiring singer, whose parents are KISS singer Gene Simmons and former Playboy model Shannon Tweed donned a skimpy thong bikini to frolic with her boyfriend Christopher James in the sea.
The two-piece showed off onetime reality star's assets and Christopher looked happy to have them on display.
Cheeky: Gene Simmons' daughter Sophie Tweed-Simmons looked as if she didn't have a care in the world as she frolicked in the water in Hawaii with her boyfriend on Thursday
The couple are in Hawaii with some friends for a week, with Sophie excitedly tweeting on Wednesday about her seven day paradise.
She wrote, ‘Hawaii I can almost taste you! #Maui #1DayAway #7DayParadise @neacebs @ChristopherJ_5 @rachelkove @BreStangeland’
Glowing: The former X Factor contestant couldn't keep the smile off her face as she enjoyed a sun soaked break with her boyfriend
Christopher too couldn’t contain his excitement, posting an Instagram picture of his holdall including his passport and a book for the plane journey.
Last year, Sophie, 21, stepped out of the spotlight of her famous dad and into her very own during auditions for The X Factor USA.
Busting out: Sophie's bikini top struggled to contain her considerable cleavage but she didn't seem to care
The daughter of the 64-year-old KISS rocker wowed all four judges, including Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell.
She was desperate to be voted through to the next round of the TV talent show on her own abilities, and not because of her hugely successful father.
Confident: Sophie took to the beach in a thong bikini and the aspiring singer was happy to show off her assets
Bust a move: Sophie showed her skills are limited to singing as she danced around in the water
In an interview before her audition, Sophie said: 'My dad is Gene Simmons from KISS. I really just want to step out of being the daughter of the guy from KISS. I want to be my own person and hopefully this is the way to show the world who I am.'
But her cover was blown when Demi Lovato recognised her.
Beach babes: Sophie was also joined by a female friend as she soaked up the sun in Hawaii
The crowd loved her performance, but the judges were initially not so sure and although they put her through, she was eliminated during the competition’s boot camp round.
She later revealed her father had been nervous on her behalf.
‘Your parents can be whoever they are, but they are still going to be worried parents. He really wanted me badly to go through, and I tried to explain to him, I am not here to win a singing competition, I am here to show the world who I am, and he, being the competitive person that he is, said 'no you are going to win,' she told the Hollywood Reporter.
Sophie has insisted she won’t give up music despite her disappointment.
Young love: Sophie and her boyfriend enjoyed a laid back day in Hawaii where they made the most of the beach
From today's featured articleFranz Kafka (3 July 1883 – 3 June 1924) was a German-speakingBohemianJewish novelist and short-story writer, widely regarded as one of the major figures of 20th-century literature. His work, which fuses elements of realism and the fantastic, typically features isolated protagonists facing what are now called 'Kafkaesque' circumstances: bizarre or surrealistic predicaments complicated by incomprehensible bureaucracy. He explores themes of alienation, existential anxiety, guilt, and absurdity. His best-known works include The Metamorphosis, The Trial, and The Castle. Few of Kafka's works were published during his lifetime, and those that were received little public attention. In his will, he instructed his friend Max Brod to destroy his unfinished works, including three of his novels, but Brod ignored these instructions. Kafka's work has influenced a vast range of writers, critics, artists, and philosophers during the 20th and 21st centuries. (Full article..) Recently featured: Did you know..

Wendell Phillips (1811–1884) was an American abolitionist and advocate for the rights of women and Native Americans. A Boston native, educated at Harvard Law School, he gave up a brief career as a lawyer to become an orator in the anti-slavery movement. He frequently spoke at meetings of the American Anti-Slavery Society and earned the moniker of 'abolition's golden trumpet'. As an adherent of the free-produce movement, he condemned the purchase of cane sugar and clothing made of cotton, since both were produced by slave labor. Phillips was also an early advocate for women's rights. In the July 3, 1846, issue of The Liberator, he called for securing women's rights to their property and earnings, as well as women's suffrage. He also argued for the creation of a cabinet-level position to secure Native American civil rights, including citizenship, that he believed were granted to them by the Fifteenth Amendment. This picture is a daguerreotype of Phillips in his forties, taken by early American photographer Mathew Brady sometime between 1853 and 1860. The photograph is in the collection of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Photograph credit: Mathew Brady; restored by Yann Forget Recently featured: |
